Before Inteliquent (previously ‘Neutral Tandem’), carriers were forced to rely on ILEC tandems to exchange telephone calls terminating to subscribers of competitive carriers’ networks. We changed that by providing a more efficient and cost-effective means for competitive carriers to route local traffic to one another.
